MINERALS

Manganese Ore
Manganese main use is in steel to make it stronger. Manganese compounds are used in alkaline cells and Leclanche cells. Manganese metal can also be alloyed with aluminum. Manganese carbonate, also called manganese(II) carbonate, is a chemical compound with a chemical formula of MgCO3 and can be heated to produce manganese(II) oxide and carbon dioxide. It is made by reacting a soluble manganese compound.

Bauxite
Bauxite is a relatively high aluminum content rock and the world's main source of aluminum and gallium. Bauxite consists mostly of the aluminum minerals gibbsite (Al(OH)3) and boehmite (γ-AlO(OH)). It appears dull in luster and the color is reddish-brown, white, or tan.
